Certificate in Applied Bushcraft - Level 4

After many years of running an integrated skills and teaching programme we have now separated the practical bushcraft skills and the teaching elements formally found in the Certificate of Bushcraft Leadership and created a brand new skills based programme. The level 4 Certificate in Applied Bushcraft is a 26-day programme spread over nine modules.

These skills are taught to a very high level and as such require a degree of prior experience. We are therefore setting the bench mark for pre-entry requirement to the programme with our Advanced Bushcraft Award level 3.

We will consider applicants without this award, but who are fully coversant with the skills covered at our discretion but please contact us before you book to discuss.

The Certificate Of Bushcraft Leadership is still available as a separate 10 day programme and the Certificate of Applied Bushcraft is the prerequisite. The route to our full instructor training programme is now as follows.

We hope this will allow greater freedom for our students to spread their learning and the cost over a slightly longer period. For those wishing to continue onto the leadership programme there is no requirement to complete all of the training over a 12 month period, although it is certainly possible. This route also allows the student to stop at different levels of learning to suit their individual circumstances and needs.

Woodcraft School were the first company in the country to offer an accredited course designed specifically for bushcraft instructors in the UK. This programme of study remains very in-depth and comprehensive and is still dedicated to teaching trainee instructors both bushcraft techniques and how to deliver them.
